Cory Yager, Esquire
Upon his graduation from the State University of New York in 1999, Cory Yager immediately entered the John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, one of five accredited law schools in the state of Georgia. After earning his juris doctorate, Mr. Yager graduated with the second highest GPA in his class.
Prior to attending John Marshall, Mr. Yager worked as a member of the Cobb County Police Department. During his time in law school, he continued to work as an officer for the City of Roswell Police Department and received specialized training in Fatality Traffic Collision investigation and DUI Detection. In addition, he also served as a Field Training Officer for police recruits.
During his employment as a police officer, Mr. Yager testified in numerous criminal, traffic and DUI cases. After witnessing firsthand the dedication of attorneys at Head, Thomas, Webb and Willis, Mr. Yager accepted a position with the firm.
Currently practicing criminal defense law in Georgia, Mr. Yager's nine-year employment in law enforcement gives him extensive inside knowledge of DUI law. As a result, he has been certified by both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the international Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to train police officers on the administration of field sobriety tests.
During his time at Head, Thomas, Webb and Willis, Mr. Yager has successfully represented clients in DUI, traffic violation and even vehicular homicide cases. He also handles misdemeanor and felony crimes as well as parole and probation violations. In addition to criminal cases, Mr. Yager represents civil litigation cases including medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability claims.
