ATLANTA -- Lawrenceville Police say they received a call Tuesday morning about a car into a home on Wayside Drive. That car was 23-year-old Christopher Pearson’s 1996 Monte Carlo and that house was Bonny Glawson’s.
“It looks like he went through my neighbor’s yard, went airborne and then basically, my house stopped him,” Glawson said with a slight laugh.
“It was almost completely inside the residence,” police Chief Randy Johnson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Major damage was done to Glawson’s garage – one entire side of the garage is completely smashed in and some bushes that used to be lining the home, are now inside of it.
Pearson blamed the crash on a mechanical failure. But police blame the crash on the fact they believe Pearson was drunk.
Johnson told the AJC that Pearson blew twice the legal limit, and, “so I would have to say that is what caused it.”
Pearson was arrested for drunken driving and taken to jail.
