Perhaps no story better reveals our attorneys' dedication to their clients than that of Gregory A. Willis's 2003 contempt of court charge. After learning that his client's only witness was unable to testify that day, Mr. Willis refused to allow the trial to begin, an adamant stance that led to a contempt of court charge. Choosing to serve jail time rather than to go to trial without his witness, Mr. Willis was sentenced to four days behind bars, which he willingly served. After serving this sentence, Mr. Willis tried – and won – his client's case once the witness was available.
