Gregory A. Willis, Esquire
Attorney Greg Willis is known throughout the Georgia legal community for his expertise and knowledge on the topic of driving under the influence (DUI) defense. He is a frequent speaker at CLE conferences, training other lawyers on successfully defending drunk-driving cases. He has also been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of DUI defense on multiple occasions.
Certified to operate the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath machine, Mr. Willis knows the ins and outs on the science behind the breathalyzer test. This in-depth training helps him challenge the test results of clients who were arrested for being over the legal limit. Mr. Willis is also certified as an instructor on administering National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) field sobriety tests.

Mr. Willis has completed the Drug Recognition Expert Overview Course, an extremely complex course that helps law enforcement agents detect drivers who are impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. He also completed the 2011 Mastering Scientific Evidence Seminar, which is the most technical DUI defense seminar in the nation.
Mr. Willis is an active member in several prestigious legal organizations including NACDL, GACDL, Georgia Defense of Drinking Drivers, and National College of DUI Defense. Participation in these organizations allows him to stay up-to-date on the latest changes to Georgia’s drunk-driving laws and the most cutting-edge DUI defense strategies.
Mr. Willis’s dedication to defending the best interest of his clients was put to the test in 2003. When his client’s expert witness was unable to appear in court due to a schedule conflict, Mr. Willis refused to start the trial and was subsequently charged with contempt of court. After serving his four-day jail sentence, Mr. Willis won the trial when the expert witness was available.
Mr. Willis received his B.S. in Commerce in 1992 from the University of Virginia. He then went on to the University of Georgia School of Law, where he received his juris doctor in 1995. Mr. Willis was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia that same year.
