Police Cruiser Rear-Ended By Suspected Drunk Driver

MAITLAND, Fla. -- Overnight, a suspected drunk driver rear-ended an unmarked Maitland police cruiser. The suspect had suspended driver's licenses in two states.
A lieutenant with the Maitland Police Department had just exited I-4 and was stopped at the light, about to turn left onto 436, when he was rear-ended by a Jeep.
Troopers identified the driver as 39-year-old Larry Limbaugh. They said Limbaugh then attempted a hit and run, but was stopped by Lt. D.A. Krout as Limbaugh tried to re-enter I-4.
Trooper said Limbaugh had two driver's licenses that were suspended for DUI in Florida and Georgia.
Limbaugh took a field sobriety test that, troopers said, he did not pass.
Lt. Krout drove off in his unmarked patrol car uninjured.
Limbaugh told troopers that he didn't remember the incident and that he wanted to talk with his lawyer.
