William C. Head graduated with honors from the University of Georgia in 1973. After earning his bachelor's degree in history, Mr. Head attended the University Of Georgia School Of Law, earning his law degree in 1976 and is now licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina.
Today, Mr. Head is most recognized for his extensive criminal and DUI law experience. Combined with his extraordinary dedication to clients, his aggressive defense strategies have earned him "The Gladiator" nickname by which he is now known.
Well-respected for his profound knowledge of DUI law, Mr. Head has published several articles on the topic. Examples of his work include a chapter on "Georgia DUI Law and Other Serious Driving Offenses," featured in the multi-volume Georgia Jurisprudence research guide as well as a chapter on "Blood Testing and DUI Defense" found in the second edition of Medicolegal Aspects of Alcohol Determination in Biological Specimens. In addition, his 1991 article "101 Ways to Avoid a Drunk Driving Conviction" is commonly referenced by legal professionals.

Mr. Head's active involvement with several legal educational organizations ensures he stays up-to-date with current industry trends. A life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Mr. Head is also the former regent and co-founder of the National College for DUI Defense. He also founded the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and serves as a mentor for the 1000 Lawyers for Justice group, a non-profit program providing pro bono legal defense to indigents.
In addition to these programs, Mr. Head holds an active membership in the American Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Gate City Bar Association and Gwinnett County Bar Association. He also lends his knowledge to the Joye-Cole Group, a DUI "think tank" located in South Carolina.
As a result of his experience, Mr. Head's name can be found on some of the country's most renowned lists including Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in Business and Industry. You can also find his name listed on the Order of Barristers.
